GENERAL
French University Sports Federation FF Sport U and Basse Normandy University sport committee, with support of French Tennis Federation (FFT) and Normandy tennis committee, propose to organize the Tennis EUC 2004 in TOUQUES (Normandy) from December 13 – 19, 2004. The venue for the championship is Domaine de l’Amirauté, close to Deauville town on the Normandy Coast, 55km away from Caen or Ouistreham and 200km from Paris.
The Domaine de l’Amirauté offers on the same venue the best conditions as about accommodation (3* Hôtel) than for playing tennis : 8 indoor tennis court in synthetic clay.
CITY OF TOUQUES
TOUQUES is located in the neighbours of DEAUVILLE well-known for his beach and its american movie festival.
ACCOMMODATION SITES AND RESTAURANTS
All players will have the same standard of accommodation – they will be accomodated in the Domaine de l’Amirauté, *** category hotel with 2 restaurants.
The hotel has enough space to host up to 42 players from sunday,12 to friday,17. Double or (large) triple rooms will be provided for the players, single and double rooms for the officials,
The menus will be geared towards the athletes’ nutritional and international requirement.
SPORTS FACILITIES
The EUC Tennis will take place on the 8 indoor courts – synthetic clay- , which French Davis cup team had already used for training camp and where an ITF 50 000 $ women tournament is organised each November.

Sun 12: Arrivals – General Meeting
Mon 13: Opening ceremony, beginning competitions
Tue 14 : Competitions –first round
Wed 15 : Competitions – first round
Thu 16 : Competitions – second round
Fri 17 : Finals 4pm End of competition, Protocol and Departures
FORMAT OF THE EVENT
We are expecting that 8 men and 8 women teams will participate on the tournament. New technical rules : competition by team (minima 2 players – max 4 to play 2 singles and 1 double) will be applied.
All teams will be provided with a minimum of one tie a day
OFFICIALS, REFEREES ,
An international referee will supervise the competition and some umpires will be used if needed during the first round. All finals will be juged by an umpire.
MEDICAL COVER
The Championship venue will provide first-aid cover throughout all playing periods, together with 24 hour medical cover, and quick access to hospital in case of emergency.
LANGUAGE
French and English will be used for all communications to teams.
PRESS
Local media will be informed and website will be updated each day.
TRANSPORTATION
Transport will be organised from the airport of Caen, which is 40km away from Touques, from railway station of Deauville and from Harbour of Ouistreham.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
OC will also organise touristic program, which will involve various sightseing and trips to nearby points of Normandy coast.
FINANCES
The participation fee is : 40- €/ per day and per person for athletes and officials. It will be impossible to accommodate extra-officials.
